The two programmes we offer P7 pupils are Confirmation and Transition retreats.
Confirmation Retreat: Living the challenge of Christianity
This programme is designed to be a reflective experience and can be facilitated before or after the day of Confirmation.
The aim of this retreat is to help each person explore this Sacrament, why they are making it and what it means to be a Christian in everyday life. This is carried out through games, discussion, meditation and art and a prayer service.
- John 14:26
But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything, and remind you of all that I have said to you. - Mark 1:8
I have baptised you with water; but he will baptise you with the Holy Spirit. - Matthew 5:14
You are the light of the world… - John 14:16-17
And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, to be with you forever. This is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, because he abides with you, and he will be in you.
Transition Retreat: Coping with change in our lives.
This retreat offers a day of reflection for students moving from Primary to Post Primary School.
It is an opportunity to allay fears and to prepare students for some of the changes they will face in the months ahead and to be reassured that God journeys with them.
- Ecclesiastes 3:1
There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under heaven. - Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.
These days start at 9.30am, finish at 2.30pm and cost £6 per person. We can cater for a max. of 30 young people at any one time.
